Michigan Tech Huskies 2020-21: * Our 100th Anniversary * No Catchy Title Needed *****

I've been told the GLI appears on the preliminary schedule. Considering I was one of the people who all but declared it dead, this is a welcome surprise.

That is good news.

Dead at LCA would not have surprised me. I still question if it will stay there long-term. Dead overall, though...I just don't see the three schools allowing that to happen.

UAH announced they aren't playing next year. Their top scorer, rising sophomore Tyrone Bronte,Tweeted yesterday he's transferring to Tech. The Misfits are gonna need an Australian flag. ;-)

I really only see one worth grabbing - Randy Hernandez. He came in as a 21 year old frosh and put up 25 pts (11G 14A) in 24 games this year. Pretty extensive junior career including two years in the US National Development Program.

He was who caught my eye. Seems to be able to put the puck in net, has decent size, stays out of the box, +/- 0. Did I mention he appears to be able to put the puck in the net? ;)

Honestly I hope our returning players have been practicing putting pucks on net and working in narrow time/space windows. I hope we can get some puck luck and put pucks into the net this coming year.

Any word on who if anyone is spending the summer at Tech?

May also set the record for most change in degrees latitude from home to Houghton.

JJ I was in Wisconsin and looked for you at the SpecMiata race but didn't see you.
Yeah, I think that dream died (for now). When I moved to Colorado I lost all my extra storage space. Living in the suburbs, anything in the garage has to be a daily driver as well. No room for true race cars. But that doesn't mean I can't still go fast. I also had to get a new bucket as my old one expired. Figured I might as well get one that matched.

Wasn't he in charge of the offense? If so, this is good as it was probably time for some new brains and new ideas on that front. At the same time, it shows prospective candidates they will have chances to move up into their own gig. So good for Dallas and good luck in his new role.

Joe should look at the Robert Morris staff to find a replacement for Dallas. RMU put up some decent offense...which is what Tech needs right now.

Given the silence from Tech about Dallas' departure, I believe MTU will be promoting from within to fill that role. That would not be my first choice at this point but it is Joe's team (and staff) until someone tells him otherwise.
