Moving on, in case you missed it, not only did Tech sweep Fairbanks, they also got a commitment from a 16yo from BC named Jagger Williamson.

I just saw the Movie, " Red Army" I totally recommend it to any hockey fan. Gripping. Here's the trailer, but it was better than the trailer and it's a documentary, not fiction.

But, you are at the time of year where bad losses can absolutely murder your RPI. Quality losses hurt also, but can be negated by strong finishes by those opponents.
I'd love South Bend to be where we end up if we go. The drives out east would suck...
Also, if we're out east, the possibility is there to take in both regionals, if you choose to.
$421 to fly from Minneapolis to Boston, leave MSP at 7AM Friday, get in just before 11AM. Drive to Manchester (~ 1 hour), and watch the Friday games. Stay in Manchester for Saturday if Tech is there, or drive to Providence, Saturday morning if they're in Providence (1 hr, 45 min). Watch either all the games in Providence, or drive over Sunday morning to catch the regional final. Drive back to Boston for a 6AM flight Monday morning back to MSP. Everything out east is so close together, it is very feasible to watch a bunch of hockey.
Just checked flights from Chicago too.... under 250 to Boston.
Unfortunately the only other team I'd really be interested in watching is Mankato, and I don't see how they're not in South Bend at this point.
