Michigan Tech at Minnesota State 2/15 and 2/16

Re: Michigan Tech at Minnesota State 2/15 and 2/16

I'll probably be at the Saturday game...I see MSU play live almost as much as I do Tech.

You haven't seen Stephon yet, though!;)

I hope that Tech smells blood in the water after the UAA and NMU games and keeps the goals rolling. Let's drop a couple 5-spots on the scoreboard for both games.
Go Tech!

have a Grain Belt at the game!

Kato sweeps, easily. cancel practice this week guys. you have nothing to fear or worry about! :)

Re: Michigan Tech at Minnesota State 2/15 and 2/16

Tech's been very inconsistent lately.....hot/cold goaltending. Kato has been red hot....and we're playing in their building.
Probably an easy sweep for the Mavs.

If this were to happen, we don't deserve to play on home ice in the playoffs, let alone in the NCAA tournament. The chances of it happening are HIGHLY unlikely.

10th in the country, Stephon Williams is 15-7-2, with a .930 save percentage and a GAA of 1.79.

Similarly, Minnesota State ranks tenth in the country in Team Defense, allowing 2.27 goals per game.

I smile at the sandbagging of tech fans. Although in a sophmore slump (for the coach) they can play good hockey and as said, there are no easy sweeps in the WCHA.

Re: Michigan Tech at Minnesota State 2/15 and 2/16

Michigan Tech has never claimed to be an "easy" sweep. just a sweep.

Re: Michigan Tech at Minnesota State 2/15 and 2/16

Tuesday games are awesome because then you look and, hockey day! How is the video feed out of Minnesota University of State at College of Mankato State University?
MUSCMSU sweeps. But Tech has averaged near 4 goals a game since Christmastime so there is a potential for good offense. It's just our defense that is usually terrible.

Re: Michigan Tech at Minnesota State 2/15 and 2/16

The video feed isn't bad but its not HD either. I watched the MSU-Duluth game last week and would say its about the same through local cable to B2 America1 or what ever they are called now. It's not unwatchable like some arenas without TV coverage.

Thanks, I'm glad you're on Central time so I can hopefully watch most of it. Here's the Gazette preview; when Tech hockey wants to compare stats, it's convenient at the moment to concentrate on the last two months and ignore the rest of the season. :p

Re: Michigan Tech at Minnesota State 2/15 and 2/16

Should be a pretty good atmosphere this weekend. 1100 student tickets (as is normal) were given away for each game on Wednesday and they released 200 more for each game yesterday. Don't know what the "tickets sold" category will look like, but I have a feeling it's going to be relatively raucous this weekend. Hopefully our boys take some of that energy and use it to get out to a quick start.

How many of those 1300 students will actually show up?
