Michigan Tech at Minnesota State 2/15 and 2/16

Re: Michigan Tech at Minnesota State 2/15 and 2/16

Let's try to get a big turnout; bring a friend!

I'm making my first trip to Mankato (for hockey). What are the "must" places pre and post game? I agree with MavHockey14 - anything less than Mankato getting swept is unacceptable. What is the visitor section at the rink?

visitors seats are 100, 200 section. Once inside you can pick a better seat if you wish, there are always empty seats between the blue lines. As far as places to go someone else will have to answer that, I don't go out after games anymore, guess Im gettin old. Before the game, the downtown smothered turkey at PUB 500 is good as are the fish and chips.

Pub 500 has a pretty good menu. Pagliai's or Jake's for pizza, both are very good. If you get up early enough, hit up the Wagon Wheel. Homestyle greasy breakfast awesomeness.

God I miss Wagon Wheel... and Zanz... can't wait to go there when I'm up for the Final Five in March.

Going to ask this again in this thread... Friday night is trading card giveaway night, anyone willing to grab me a set and mail it down to Texas? I'd pay for shipping and throw some $ in for the set.

Minnesota State can't take these games for granted if they want home ice. I expect the Mavs will be up for the challenge.

Go State!

When did Pagliai's start adding flavor to their pizza?

I'll be honest, I almost always go with Jake's. Pagliai's has been pretty hit or miss for me.

Also, for those techies that are either Packer or Lion fans, you'll probably feel like showering after being in Jake's.

I don't know yet if I am going to the game Friday. It's up in the air until Thurs, Fri. If I go I will look for the cards and pick some up for you... if the students don't get them all first and make airplanes out of them. Oh wait students don't go to non-gopher games anymore it seems.
