It will be stronger competition but of the 4 games I've seen live this year, last night was by far the best effort. They had the energy going after loose pucks, controlled it when they had it and I was very happy with their zone entries. When you do all the "little things" you will get the disparity in SOG and hopefully on the scoreboard as well. Also happy that they didn't get drawn into gooning it up in the 3rd. They stood up to UAF's crap but didn't escalate it. Bring on the Beavers!

On another note- this freshmen class is good. I don't remember seeing a class this poised at this point in their first year. Halonen is a winner. If we were the only school interested in him I think we need to pay this coach more money.

On another note- this freshmen class is good. I don't remember seeing a class this poised at this point in their first year. Halonen is a winner. If we were the only school interested in him I think we need to pay this coach more money.

A cousin playing for Tech the past four years (L') and another couple (twins) coming in over the next couple of years probably helped a little bit too ;-) ... glad we got him he'll be wearing a "C" by the end of his career here.

Someone was actually trying to bid on Munson's Copper Country Strong jersey over the weekend. They were asking what was the jersey number of the 4th goalie in the team photo because you needed to include the jersey number with your bid (since the NCAA won't allow you to buy something based on a player's name ). I see he is now listed on the Nottingham roster overseas. I think they should get him a new profile photo...

In other jersey news, I ended up winning two of the CCS jerseys on Friday. So... whoever is ready to part with one of those old, outdated, useless "Camo Husky" jerseys** in exchange for one of the fabulous, exciting, new Copper Country Strong jerseys, drop me a line and let's make this happen! A guy can hope, right?

** Must be a game jersey. Sorry, not interested in the blanks they sold on campus after the game.

It just gave me the impression he was a project and kind of added on for depth or something. Joe does have a way of understating things though. Just glad he's at Tech because he's already a stud. Very polite too. Perfect fit for Tech.

They have us at #16, 29, and 30 for the next 3 classes. Next year they have us with 12 commits which is twice what THG has listed and doesn't make sense with the size of the current class. Whatever.

It was interesting to see the bigger programs stockpiling recruits. The further out you look the more you see the usual suspects at the top with a bunch of commits. As things shake out the smaller schools start moving up. Not surprising.

If you right click and view page source you can see the tables. You don't get the individual names of the recruits but it gives you an idea of who is doing well on the trail I suppose.

I already have enough interest to order the cream, and hof black jerseys again and I'm also very close with being comfortable with ordering the golds and circle black jersey. Halonen has an absolute rocket of a shot! I rewatched his first goal as a husky about five times. It is a one timer shot out of a cannon..can't wait to watch this guys career!
