Feels like we're in a never ending loop of "Groundhog Day"

Maybe tech should recruit the Daavettlia kid who is playing for Howell HS this year. Haven't seen him play yet, but I'm sure jsr can tell us all about him...


You know a better hire for the goalie coach position would be Tony Esposito!!
Come on what's he doing these days? Sitting at home wacthing the tv? He played before the time of big contracts and big pensions. He must be looking for something to do to keep busy and earn a little extra cash.

I know Tiger Pierce is still in the area and I believe Jim Warden is too. I wonder why their experience hasn't been made more use of over the years?

Good luck to the new coach. Welcome him in with a win tonight. That would be a good place to start.

It should be pointed out that according the Tech website this goalie coach is a volunteer, so it's not like we've started spending more money on the coaching staff. Good to see a goalie coach onboard though and hopefully it helps.

Is Soley also injured? Haven't heard anything mentioned about him on either drive time or the coach's pre-game talk.

Alot of Jamie talking with Dirk in the postgame tonight, so hard to summarize in bullet point, but here it is:

Took a big step in play since last weekend
Forced turnvers and didn't give up rushes
Need to capitalize on odd man rushes
We did a good job on the wall and moved our feet, created several chances
need more conversion
Nielsen struggled last night but responded tonight, got in on the play, outstanding
Showed character in the 3rd period, kept batteling til the end
Lot of character on this team, good specialty teams this weekend, good discipline
We're lacking in depth right now, gas tanks are empty at the end of the game
17 freshmen and sophmores, Bunger, Royer, VanWagner currently out, when we get healthy we'll be a tough team in the 2nd half
Pete Hainen was on for the 2nd goal, prob. nervous, smart hockey player with good hockey sense, excited to work with him
The locker room was at a low point last weekend, these kids take the losses hard after all the work they put in

He might be, but he's also been a healthy scratch sometimes. Turns out that he is a Sean Avery fan and has the "agitator" attitude to match. He takes a lot of unnecessary penalties and definitely has not been the player we had hoped he might be.

Oh I know I know! Hockey players like girls. Tech doesn't have very many. Therefore, most hockey players with any talent don't want to play college hockey at a school with few girls to choose from :p

I love Tech haha

Section 14......then teh Saloon, now my heated garage with oodles of cheper than bar beer.

Your "good play" got confiscated by the po-po last night.:D

The wife will leave for a weekend eventually. This will happen. heated garage, keg fridge and satilllite TV.....it shall be.:D
