Go up US 41 past Calumet and Phoenix to Central, hang a right, and it's a couple miles down the road on your left, on top of Mount Horace Greeley. If you get to Lake Gratiot, you've gone too far.

Access road is at right-center, and the picture is looking roughly southeast. Radar towers are on top of the hill, about, oh, 100 feet above the housing tracts? The part used as the juvenile corrections facility is a bit above middle center, as well as a shop up near one of the old radar domes. I believe one of the local phone companies has a tower on the nearest dome now.

Speaking of said "escapees"...
My dad overheard this story once.. a kid had escaped, and once he was apprehended and they brought him back, one of the other kids asked him how far he had made it. Keep in mind, 80% of these boys came from Wayne County. When the kid said "Gay", a lot of the other boys were quite confused. :p

I believe you're right. Always wished we could get Pastynet in Houghton instead of Charter.

Well 59 children (that were forced to work for minimal pay that they didn't even get) died in the disaster...

Do you expect them to not stick around and scare the s*it outta underage girls?
