In Marquette Friday night, in a Great Lakes matchup, Northern Michigan edged hapless Michigan Tech 2-1 behind a goal and an assist from Andrew Cherniwchan.


This still makes me very angry.

Please read this guys and show them at the GLI that we are not totally HAPLESS.

It will take at least 4 goals to beat MSU at the Joe.
Olson, Baker, Gwilliam, and Seigo........
The rest of the team, stop anything in Green.
I paid good money for center ice seats for the game against MSU. I want to see a great effort by the Tech squad!

Our defense started seems to have started to click. They were doing quite well keeping the Wildcats to the outsides of the big rink for most the games.

Here's another post from me to help kill the thread.

My 9-year-old brother's team is like Tech Jr, except for the fact that they haven't won any games, they're like 0-9. Today he woke me up so I wouldn't forget about going to his game, and then went on to inform me that they haven't won against this team yet. Really? I don't think you've won against any team yet, little bro! haha :p

Oh well, it's still little kid hockey :D

Carl Nielsen is looks like he's going to be a top-notch D-man, plus he looks like an assassin when he wears a suit.

A few old-school verses:

You can't study at the Library, but you can down a few.
Double Bubble at the DT, brings the weekend in on cue.
The B&B has pickled eggs, the Dog House beer is great.
They all keep you in a stumbling, falling, red-eyed drunken state.

Now the girls at MTU, well they're few and far between.
There are ten men here for every girl, it's a ratio that's obscene.
And all the girls have waiting lists, of this you can be sure.
So a trip back home to Detroit, remains the only cure.

For if we were, we'd surely be a pathetic shade of blue.
Their hockey team is bad, this I'm sure to say.well... it is... even if ours is worse
And their band is horrible, even though they get paid to play. :p and yes, a stipend is pay :-P.

The slope of Ol' Mont Ripley are all covered with stones,
And what that means to you and me is a lot of broken bones.
My K2s are a shambles, my poles are strangely bent.
Blue Cross took away my card until I swear to repent!

That has been a nice suprise for me, seeing Doriott and Nielsen playing well as freshman.

On a John Scott realted note, if you havne't seen the MN Wild fire picks you should check them out. Russo's latest blog says that whlie not all of the players equipment burned, Scott lost all of his.

Lots of people who thought they got tolerable cheap seats are having the same problem. I was supportive of the FFFF, but I think with the sh*tty economy resulting in lack of ticket sales to curious locals and the subsequent relocation of the rink, that this is going to be a mediocre event now. Pretty sad.

Doriott is a sophomore and he needs to learn how to play defense without taking a penalty. :rolleyes: I've been impressed by Nielsen so far though.
