An ideal commuist society would have everybody laying down and letting the government mandate how and where all money is distributed and spent. The people would have no say and pretty much would just take what they were given.

The whole of point of unions is make sure that doesn't happen. Unions fight for special "fair" treatment to members of the union, but don't really give a darn about anybody else, or fair treatment outside of their own ranks. Unions are not worried about the good of the whole, they are worried about the good of their own. As far as I see it Unions are the ultimate example of the capitalist society. It's main goal is to increase the push for as much as it can possibly take at the expense of everybody else.

Perfect example could you see the UAW going on strike in Soviet Russia or in China.

But since we do not live in a perfect communist society they are for Unions, as a Union is the perfect example of the proletariat attempting to overthrow/take power from the bourgeoisie.

Only in a Michigan Tech season thread can you end up discussing social theory.

I accept your acknowledgement that you were wrong and I am willing to move. All I ask is that is forever written on the books that it is a fools move to question The Darkness or his ability to argue and or b.s. when he thinks he is right about something.

Do you really thing you can out argue me? Speaking of foolish things to do. You clearly have no idea what communism truly is and are instead basing it off of what you learned from Ted Koppel when Old Man Jelly Bean was president and arguing with the Spaghetti Sauce Stained Forehead Guy.

Actually I'm basing my ideals of communism on the Marxist principles where one of the fundamental beliefs is that the material inequality among all people needs to be abolished completely and totally, not to mention they stand against any form of capitalist society whatsoever.

Which is exactly what a Union is doing. The workers are attempting to gain equity with the people paying them. Thank you for agree with me, I'm glad you admit I'm right.

A true communist organization wouldn't be focused on what they're making and would instead be focused on what's better for the society as a whole. Instead the unions are money hungry and are doing nothing more then trying to make more money for themselves.

The Union couldn't care less about redistributing wealth, they only care about getting an good share for themselves, even if that means taking action that hurt everybody around them. If that doesn't scream capitalism I don't know what does.

Capitalism: Equal opportunity and protection under the law to it your way to create your own outcome
