Knocked the stick out of the NMU player's hand while trailing him out of the offensive zone.

Gron is doing his best Olver impression tonight. Had a great scoring chance coming in 1 on 3 earlier, but just couldn't get it home.

NMU wins the first everywhere but the scoreboard. Hopefully they don't start pressing and can keep up the pressure in the second.

Shots ended up 11-7 NMU after 1. NMU once had a 7-2 lead in shots so you can see that State started putting good pressure on towards the end of the period.

2nd is underway from Marquette.

Penalty killed by MSU. NMU is 0-2 on the PP for the night.

Gron back out on the ice for NMU.

Stewart flying all over the ice in front of the net as State gets a backhand rebound opportunity into what I thought was an empty net.

Small 2 on 1 opportunity for NMU but doesn't pan out as the first pass came a little early.

NMU penalty - goaltender interference.

Looked to me like the NMU player was hit into the goalie and did what he could to prevent a collision.

State is 0-3 on the PP.
