Miami @ UNH 10/17/2009

Re: Miami 5 UNH 5, 2nd Intermission

Re: Miami 5 UNH 5, 2nd Intermission

So after NINE goals that period, think both teams will be discussing defense in this intermission? Good Lord.
Point taken. Not like the old days. 14 goals per game by a single side may not have been frequent, but they happened several times each year in the mid and late 70's (often by UNH).

Once saw UNH beat Cornell 10-9 in DOUBLE OVERTIME:eek: in Boston Garden (1977 ECAC semi-finals).

Re: Miami 5 UNH 5, 2nd Intermission

I don't see that. My dad was there last night with my mom, talked to him earlier today and he said it felt like Miami backed off in the third last night.

Oh God, that would suck :) I mean, yeah, of course I want UNH to win, but between the 2nd period last night and then the 2nd period tonight, sheer whackiness.

That, combined with the past 5 weeks of what my Bengals have done to me, I don't think my heart could take it.

The last time I followed anything like it was Michigan's loss to UND in the 07 regionals. Each team had 5 forwards and no defensemen  :D

Aye. Yeah. It's just insane. That's all I can say.

Reminder, UNH is short-handed to start this period as Krates is in the box.

21 seconds left on that Miami PP now.

You're my ears as well as eyes tonight, erin -- working off a little notebook as I try to resuscitate the Dell D430. Thanks also for posting the score in the top of each post.

Don't blow it. :p

Ouch :) Such pressure.

This is UNH's 8th PP, we're 2 for 7 tonight.

And snively, I always do that (score in the title), think it's easier. It's what I'd like people to do for me :p

Penalty on DeSimone now as Vaive got the puck on a partial break, DeSimone gave it away and had to take him out.

Miami PP coming.

Save Foster, he didn't have it and the refs with a quick whistle, that was a gift as it was loose.
