MIAMI @ NMU - Fri & Sat December 2 / 3, 2011

I just remembered who the VAIVE was against!

He looks like a long-haired A.C. Slater in that pic. Cleaner looking these days.

For those buying the B2 feed or thinking about it...its a multi-camera operation tonight with the Broadcasting 310 class operating the coverage. Its student announcers...and some in the class (Ive taken this before) don't want to do announcing or like hockey, but you have to do something. Just a warning.

I'll be watching on the B2 America One feed, but if I don't like the students play by play can you stream the audio from 100.3 or WNMU? Can you provide a link. Of course, I don't know if my cheap AT&T DSL can handle that.

I am slightly judging your Broadcasting 310 class for coming up with UMO out of Miami University for the score box.

They probably think it's a satellite school of the University of Miami (Florida) up in Oxford: University of Miami at Oxford.

Tough game. Gron with 1 goal and the second went to Nugent for NMU. Miami dominated the 3rd period.

Why did Miami pull Reichard so quickly? Was he hurt?

The team Twitter feed said "Knapp replaced Reichard as planned. Knapp didn't start b/c he was late to breakfast."

I didn't get the audio up and running until the last few minutes of the game (right after the NMU GWG). Certainly seems like Miami dominated, at least in the 3rd. Were the shots low quality, was the goaltender making a lot of big saves, or a little of both?

I'd say Coreau made several good saves in the third period. He was good most of the night. NMU did a good job of keeping Miami to the outside, so Miami was not able to get any or many rebounds as I recall. NMU did a good job defensively both ways tonight while missing three of their defensemen.

Re: MIAMI @ NMU - Fri & Sat December 2 / 3, 2011

Miami dominated the third but the first two periods were pretty even I thought.

A gutsy performance by NMU. Hopefully with a full lineup tomorrow the Cats can withstand the Redhawks onslaught that I expect to see.

Nice sweep for the Cats! It got a little chippy in the third but Northern kept their composure.

Now on to the Soo for a big series against the Lakers.
