Re: Meth, I Hear You Callin': The Final Season of Breaking Bad

Ummmm, ok.....How much time has passed since the end of last season?

Re: Meth, I Hear You Callin': The Final Season of Breaking Bad

Yeah....this is going to end up being Walt vs. the DEA, methinks.

I said it earlier. Hank pulls the trigger that kills Walt.

Thoughts on tonight's awesomeness:

1. Mike's reaction. That was my number one question. Where does his loyalty/etc lie? Well, he sure answered that in a hurry.
2. Ted! WTeff? Even with the "Godfather" orange tribute in his accident scene, he's alive? Whoa.
3. Magnet. Yay science! High five, Mr White! OH, oops I meant Jesse. :)
4. Personal note: loved the MSDS file in the cop shop (Material Safety Data Sheet), since I work with those constantly at my job.

Agree. I knew something was going to be done about the laptop. Hank can't find out that easily. My guess is Hank either starts suspecting Walt, or figures out it's Walt in episode 8....just in time for the long break.

I'm trying to figure out what information they would be able to find from the bank account information that was found behind the framed picture. I don't know how that could lead back to Walt, since I was under the impression that Walt was always paid in cash.

That cash had to come from somewhere....

It would (might, depending on future details) take a leap of faith, but given the writing, there will be some sort of connection.

Double edit: the intro......this leads me to believe that Walt is on his own. Did Skylar leave? Did Walt off her?! Oh yeah, that's a possibility, believe you me.

Yeah, but if its cash, the bank wouldn't have a record of where it goes.

With Hank being Hank....a seemingly broke White family happens to come across money via illegal (gambling) means, the possible Gail connection that they joked about, buying the car wash, the Ted thing......it's a stretch, but I bet there's something there that could connect it. It's a matter of it is found.

Re: Meth, I Hear You Callin': The Final Season of Breaking Bad

Was Walt telling Skylar "I forgive you" a little like Michael kissing Fredo? No way he just forgave her for what she did

Great question. There was the orange tribute with Ted in that earlier episode (when Don Corleone dies in the orange grove in The Godfather). So maybe!

Re: Meth, I Hear You Callin': The Final Season of Breaking Bad

Walt had 3 different lines/moments tonight where he took the role of king/boss/kingpin/etc.

When he said to Mike, in the back of the "Because I said it did" about whether the magnet worked.
Telling Saul "We're done when I say we're done"
And telling Skylar "I forgive you"

He's got the power, he knows it, and he now knows how to use to manipulate everyone.

The manipulation of Mike surprised me. Mike's initial reaction was one I suspected, but didn't EXPECT; there is a difference. But for Walt to manipulate him? Wow.

And Mike gave him a look in the mirror...up until that point Mike had doubted and verbally questioned every move Walt made. In that moment, he seemed to acknowledge that Walt was the new boss and it isn't his place to question the boss in front of others.

Mike is a smart guy, smart enough to realize that he isn't the mastermind of any operation. Honestly, I was surprised it took him as long as it did to come around to Walt; he's a survivor and if Walt got to Gus then he's the new top of the food chain.

Re: Meth, I Hear You Callin': The Final Season of Breaking Bad

It sucked to have to watch it on the computer last night (especially when the speakers are terrible), but I was glad AMC made that an option. Definitely made me want to go back and pay closer attention to some of the things in Season 4.

I'm curious to see if Walt tries to set up his own operation or if its just going to be him and the gang trying not to get caught the rest of the way.

Re: Meth, I Hear You Callin': The Final Season of Breaking Bad

I really hope that at some point it gets to Walt setting up his own lab/distribution center, etc. Could it be that the presumed flash forward at the start is looking forward to when he is cooking again?
