Re: Merrimack at UNH 11/27/10

Scoreless through one. Time to go walk Gracie, the world's coolest border collie...

Re: Merrimack at UNH 11/27/10

As time winds down in the first UNH has a flurry of chances but can't score.

End of 1

Finally got in... the site would not let me log in for the longest time! GRRRRRR!

Re: Merrimack at UNH 11/27/10

Beer of the weekend..... Samuel Adams Winter Lager... My reaction: not a bad beer, but as far as seasonals go, it leaves something to be desired. My grade: C+ (Sam Adams has a reputation to live up to... this is below par for them). That said, I will be finishing this six pack just fine, thank you. ;)

Re: Merrimack at UNH 11/27/10

At the Whitt, actually a surprisingly large crowd. Student section is sparsely populated, but seems vocal enough. Most regulars are here. Had some good chances throughout the period, notably DeSimone on the PK and the flurry at the end.
Overall, it seems both teams were just feeling each other out in the first. I expect more physical play from MC, while UNH looks like they're trying to shift into the next gear offensively, but(and I mean this positively for the Warriors) MC keeps playing stubbornly in their own end. Should be an interesting 2nd.

It's nice to see that that FargoDome was built as much for it's visual appeal as it's functionality

So after 1 period I'm very impressed with Merrimack and UNH has looked better on the shorthand then on the pp

Hey, Chad (welcome in!)-- and IrishWildcat also. Just back from the walk.

Beer of the night here is a total flyer -- Dogfish Head's Chicory Stout, which I've not had before (I just trust Dogfish Head). I'm not a big fan of chicory, but first sip (ever) moments ago showed it was used very sparingly, and the result is a very acceptable stout...
