But if you read my MASCAC tidbits, you would have realized that both UMD and Worcester had not won a conference game going into last night's tilt.

I'm still puzzled on what is going on in Dartmouth. On paper, they have a very good team with a good coach. The goalie was an all American. 0-3-1 after 4 conference games is just plain wierd since all but Salem came from the Northeast and UMD was a very good ECAC-NE school.

This does not surprise me as I said before Worcester state, Framingham state,
Fitchburg state should see some great improvement in there programs.

I say this because of the New England sports center<> Where in the country
or in North America maybe the world can you find 5 sheets in one building??

They will only get better slowly but they will get better!!!

I think the Junior Programs springing up will also help the issue..

Schwan Super Rinks in Blaine, MN. 8 sheets.

Too many junior programs in the East are diluting the product. You could cut the number of junior programs by 2/3 and still have the same # of kids going to D1 and D3. Plus, the level of play would be that much greater.

Too many Junior programs well heard the cap comes off next year..

It use to be 6500 now its going to go up..

I am dating myself we had Springfield Olympics, South shore Braves, Fichburg
Wallopers, Manchester Canadians, Rhode Island reds?

Anyway the d3 teams benefit from kids playing 60 plus games and god knows
how many practices..
