With Bjugstad and Haula out, it should be interesting to see who centers the first line on Friday (Taylor Matson?). Union has the best PP% in the nation, so no better time for the Gophers PK unit show some improvement than this weekend. A OOC Gopher win on Friday will really help in the PWR.

Is there an NCAA tournament team in this "tournament'? Minne's so inconsistent and now missing key players so that makes them even more of a crap shoot. And did you look at Union's schedule? I'll be polite and say it's not exactly murderer's row. I know they have a good record, but man they've beat just one decent team.

Good end to end action by both teams tonight. But the Gophers didn't get enough pucks on net, or in deep for more scoring chances. Patterson played well, and the Gopher D blocked several shots. Congrats to Union on the road win. Gophers absolutely need a win tomorrow night against Ferris State to improve their chances for an NCAA bid.
