March starts and playoff dreams end. Scores Sat 3/1

Re: March starts and playoff dreams end. Scores Sat 3/1

Assuming Adrian just claimed the first Pool C, it doesn't look too promising

That's a safe assumption, though that conference is still a wash for Pool C purposes if St. Norbert takes the title, since we knew that either Adrian or St. Norbert would take the #1 pool C slot. Given that Babson or Norwich has to lose next weekend, Plattsburgh is a surefire non-participant if any of a few teams - St. Norbert, Trinity, and Geneseo at a bare minimum - are upset. If not...well, they'd have a shot, but there's some evidence that the NCAA is weighting the criteria to fit a narrative (see Plattsburgh's own position ahead of Geneseo in this week's rankings, for example), and Plattsburgh's narrative couldn't be worse at the moment.

Cooper from the left face off circle gives SNC a 4-0 lead at :40 of the third

As unexpected as this was (to me at least), what if St. Scholastica were to beat St. Norbert?

Not-So-Fun Fact: this is the first time the Cardinals have missed the SUNYAC finals since their last postseason ban in 1991, and the first time they've missed it while tournament-eligible since the SUNYAC started deciding its champion via playoffs in 1985. So hey, at least they made a little history :o

SNC is a Pool C.
Let me rephrase. It gets dicey for Adrian on the comparisons with the East Pool C's

Plattsburgh would be toast, best as I can tell. Pool C would go to Adrian, St. Norbert, and Norwich/Babson.

I was at the last Oswego-Geneseo SUNYAC Final. 1991 at Wilson Arena. Oswego won 6-2, thanks to a hat trick by Mike Catuosco.

Baptista with the rebound pp goal at 16:47. 6-0 SNC

Re: March starts and playoff dreams end. Scores Sat 3/1

But what if Trinity does not win NESCAC?

I would guess Adrian, Trinity, Norwich/Babson given that nothing else goes haywire. The gist is that Trinity, Geneseo, Norwich, and Babson are all in pretty good shape if they're the only big loss next weekend, and St. Norbert at the least is a mortal lock regardless of what happens. Multiple upsets would make things pretty hairy, as multiple upsets tend to do.

e: but as you said, Adrian is no sure thing.

Re: March starts and playoff dreams end. Scores Sat 3/1

Final
Lake Forest 0
St. Norbert 6

SOG 45-14 and that was reflective of the play. LFC had no offense all night, with maybe three good scoring chances

The MCHA might be regretting inviting CSS and SNC, as us interlopers will play for the Harris Cup next week.

DMG @ Willet.

Eau Claire wins 1-0 to force it.

Oh, and River Falls proves inferior to Superior and goes 0 - 2 for the weekend.

I don't regret a thing from inviting those programs.

Trailing by 1 in the DMG, Point takes a 5 + game for HFB. This gets more interesting in the selection process every minute.

The Point coach is not a happy man.

Stevens Point is self-destructing right now, 3 x 5 Power play for Eau Claire
