Maine @ UNH -- The former sux

Maine 1 UNH 4, 2nd Intermission

Maine 1 UNH 4, 2nd Intermission

Just like last period, UNH PP will carry over, 46 seconds this time, I believe.

DeSimone and Kipp had assists on the 4th goal by Borisenok.

Speaking of "any time BC loses..."

This is for Dean. I'm suddenly the world's biggest Phillies Fan.

A guy literally called WFAN's Mike Mancuso of Friday (as I was driving home), and said "If the Yankees were playing Al Qaeda..."

OK, not really true (and arguably in poor taste to boot), but I grasped his point. :D

boy.. the fact that there are two different threads for this game says it all: there is no love lost btwn the fanbases of UNH and Maine... as it should be.

I'm glad its a rain out tonight, that game would ruin an otherwise great sports day

The pitching is a different story, but other than A-Rod, there isn't one guy on the Yankee roster that I'd rather have on my team then the Phillie player at the same position. Except for Jeter-Rollins, the Phillies player at every other position is playing better than his Yankee counterpart. But again, I stress pitching is another story here. Although the Phils pitching in the NLCS, especially the bull pen was pretty outstanding (game two, notwithstanding).

The Phillies pitchers weren't pitching against the Yankee lineup...

Unless of course I blanked it out and read tomorrow that the Yank-mes had lost.

Had a nicely sheltered day today, given that I'm less than an hour from Philly. Went to buy some apples at a nearby farm, and the gal who sold the basket was wearing an Ogunquit sheatshirt. And told me her dog was named Fenway.

Plus the guy behind me was wearing a Sox hat.

My car license plate, Honest to You-Know-Who, is at left... And as I said, I'm a huge Phils fan for the time being!

Wonder why that is?

Plus we're up 225 to 31.

And that counts Gibber's :D

Wally, Rufus, and the boys are none too pleased over there, too. Could well be another LOOOOOOONNNNNNG winter up there.

They've been foaming at the mouth since game one. Three guesses as to who their vitriol is aimed at. :D
