YES indeed,should make this a real good trip,bet there will be ALOT of Happy Maine Hockey Fans in Pittsburgh this week into the weekend...can't wait to get there. A New start...Is it October YET..!

Yeah, its been bad for so long, gotten personal at times on here from different folks, I just hope A) Maine gets the right guy and gets back in the hunt, and B) We all get to a place where its OK to remember the good times and give Whitehead a little fondness for those years. Not too much though!

Like they say, you don't want to be the guy to follow the legend; you want to be the guy to follow the guy who followed the legend.

Best of luck to Tim. I always liked him as a person and he has a great family. I would not want to be in that spotlight with the pressure of THE team in the State on your shoulders. This time of year has to be bitter sweet - the culmination of the college hockey season and the 6th anniversary of Dena's mom's death on the way to the Frozen Four in St Louis.

Looking forward to better days to come - for both Maine and the Whitehead family.

Very gracious and classy statement. A good human being who represented Maine well and for the most part brought in good student athletes who had success both on the ice and in the classroom. This team will be good next year and the next coach will not have to live with a ghost. Best wishes in the future Tim and I know you will have success wherever life takes you.

Whitehead will address the media tomorrow morning at 11AM at the university.
