Well...we have a few NHL assistants/coaches/scouts who are former Maine players who live in Bangor/the area (one in particular has experience at UMaine), USHL is a no brainer, AHL, same...

How about using names...? Make us salivate...

Cronin would bring Maine back to the glory days. Winning a lot of hockey games, NCAA violations, and refs that fear the man behind the Maine bench. Can he grow a mustache?

USHL coach is without a question Jim Montgomery. Jack Capuano resides in Bangor with his family and is currently the coach of the NHL's New York Islanders. John Tortorella is currently the coach of the NHL's New York Rangers. All 3 have UMaine ties.

I'm sure John Tortorella would have no problem leaving the New York Rangers to coach in Orono.

Yes, I expect Tororella and Capuano to be willing to leave NHL head coaching jobs to take over at UMaine for pennies on the dollar.

i also suspect the AHL coach would be referring to Scott Pellerin, who is currently the coach of the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers... The AHL affiliate of the NY Islanders.
