I spoke briefly with AJ on twitter and he seems like a well-spoken young man who loves his hockey. When I say well-spoken, I mean he's a teenager who uses complete sentences and actual words when communicating with others...a rarity in the Internet world.
The recruits keep rolling in for the University of Maine men’s hockey team.
After receiving verbal commitments from forward Oliver Wahlstrom and defenseman Malcolm Hayes last week, the Black Bears received a verbal commitment for the 2016-‘17 season from one of the best ’98-born players in the Mid-Atlantic region in A.J. Drobot.
The 15-year-old from Churchville, PA., is in his first year with the New Jersey Rockets U19 team, which plays an independent schedule. The 5-foot-8 forward has 32 goals and 18 assists in 42 games this season.

98 D Konstantin Chernyuk (Wilkes-Barre U16) commits to Maine. 6'1 skater is a lanky, mobile, puck-mover with all the upside in the world.
University of Maine head coach Red Gendron has picked up a raw 15-year-old defenseman from Russia.
Konstantin Chernyuk, a 6-foot-3, 170 pound defenseman from Saint Petersburg, Russia gave his verbal commitment to the Black Bears. The earliest he would arrive on campus is the fall of 2016, pending his compliance with NCAA rules and acceptance into the university.
Chernyuk has been honing his craft with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Jr. Knights U16 National team that plays in the Atlantic Youth Hockey League’s Tier I National minor midget league.

I will have update all the recruits stats by Monday. I have been busy with other work this week.
I think he will be finding another school. For the record he has 2 goals and an assist in 11 games with Sioux City.

I have updated all the prep players stats with the help from herbst20 who has a key to get into Fort Knox (USHR.com) which seems is the only source for prep player stats.
