If you're under 6'2"and 200 pounds you aren't in Red's plans. We may be going from one of the smallest teams in the country a few years ago to one of the biggest if not the biggest in a couple years. But yeah as Hoky says, it will be fun watching em pound other teams into submission. :D

I was up north yesterday for a relatives graduation party and toured the campus for the fist time in a loooooong time. Lots and lots of changes and additions. The whole student union building was unrecognizable almost. I did get a large laugh from seeing the old Alford flat scoreboard in the Union mounted on the wall with the Maine-UHN final score in Anaheim on the board. But, UHN did win the SOG battle in that game something like 40 to 30. :D

Maine did not have a recruit in Cedar Rapids but Ben Guite was here all camp long. Wonder who he is there scouting.

Red in Fargo yesterday. Maine recruit Jake Papalardo was very good. Will prob go next year after st year at Proctor. He is a keeper

Only the most elite talents can play D1 as an 18 yo. Even BC's elite recruits often need a year or two before they outplay our best players. Also, every kid is a Hobey finalist if you listen to their Jr. coach. He may be a good player but a year in the USHL can only help.

Perhaps another year would make him a better player than he is at the moment, but right now, this Maine team needs all the help it can get.

A shut-down defensive centerman who can win faceoffs? Yes please.

Completely agree. Not sure he will stick around four years anyway.

So true! The junior coaches want to be able to point to the "legions" that they have helped to prepare for D1 or higher, as they recruit for next years team.

Has there been any UPDATE's on Chase Pearson coming to Maine this Fall or the Fall of 2016? Pearson not listed on Heisenbergs List of Recruits for Maine. NHL Draft next weekend,some say he will be Drafted.

He told Nathan Fournier of Maine Hockey Journal that he hoped to come to Orono this fall. He's taking some online courses, and he told Nathan that he hoped those courses would give him enough academic credits to enroll at UMaine for the fall semester.

Thanks...I did hear that...just was wondering IF he still planned on making it to Orono this Fall. Most likely we will hear more by the end of summer.

NHL.com has Chase Pearson ranked #123 for North American Skaters leading up to the Draft this coming Friday & Saturday in Florida.

Just got done checking the Draft Listings...as the above stated 3 Maine recruits Drafted...at least some teams are interested/long term with the hope they can make the Grade @ UMaine.

I don't believe for a second that NHL teams would be foolish enough to draft Red's recruits, they're all garbage!!!!

Well that's your thoughts...but for the most part when the Detroit Red Wings make picks in the later rounds they usually see something that peeks there interest. Time will tell, now though they need to this year and next start there play with UMaine Hockey.
