I am not surprised, as bobf can tell ya, I've seen Merrimack a lot this season

Welcome back to TIMMAY TIME!!!

This guy has been so exposed over the past 5 years.......too bad no one at the U has the balls to do anything about it. :(

That being said, Merrimack is good.......looks like BU, Maine and maybe Northeastern now fighting for the final home ice berth in HE.

Either way, but this follows the Timmay pattern so far, start out well, get folks excited than tank during and after Christmas break, we'll see if it continues.

I thought all the excitement in Maine this summer was from the series win in the QFs (barely), beating a bad BU team in the semis and the moral victory against BC... all in March?

edit - I just hope Maine can finish this one with more SOG than Merrimack so BobF can point that out for the next few months ("sure BC and Merrimack killed us, but we outshot them!!!!").

Not from me, Maine won nothing last year, why would anyone be excited. The pick of second by the coaches in the preseason poll fooled everyone I guess

Yeah because winning obviously doesn't matter at Maine anymore. 4 straight seasons without making the NCAA Tournament.

One guy had a Maine sweater monogrammed with Fire Whitehead on the back, he was walking around Alfond in it most every game. He was probably smart and gave up his season tickets

But seriously Maine fans, OUCH! 7 - 1??? Even given the fact that Merrimack has had its best season to date (in, what, their history?), did the Black Bears think the game started at 7 (p.m., that is, not the Warriors' goals.)

There'll be no rubbing it in from this UNH fan. It's college hockey (choose one of the following cliches, or add your own: "That's why they make them play the game." or, "On any given night, or afternoon, as the case may be...)

(Edit -- I meant to add, hey, you have MC at your place for 2 straight nights. I'm sure things will even out, Whitehead or no Whitehead.)
