Maine Hockey

Re: Maine Hockey

Do the broadcasters of today’s game know anything about Maine? Obviously NU is the better team but in a one game playoff that means zilch! Maine has some very capable and talented players, and with some good tending can easily disrupt NU and get an occasional goal......sorry but I cannot watch the whole game on mute!

The commentating in women's hockey is pispoor for the most part.

Re: Maine Hockey

Unfortunately, I do agree but the NU broadcast has always been a step above, and given that even ESPN uses their feed, one would think that they have experience to offset their bias!

Carly Jackson with a couple of huge saves. Let’s hope the girls have twenty. Minutes of high effort left! Looking a bit gassed at the end of that period.

Re: Maine Hockey

If they play within their game, they can.....smart using what’s given to them rather than looking to win first! NU will get it going hard.....remember Black Bears, “pressure is a privilege” BJK!

I think they need keep skating and get puck to soft spots, it will frustrate NU and keep Maine’s legs fresh. Chasing NU around in Maine’s zone is killing Their legs. Need play smarter not harder. If that makes sense.

Tied up. Both goals in the game came on screens in front.

Re: Maine Hockey

Maine D player goes back into the NU player behind the net, forcing Fontaine, with a smart move, to jump into the play and find Mueller, who smartly shoots quickly, just above the pads....good team play!

Re: Maine Hockey

Maine gets the PP with 5 to go yet has 3 chances to shoot within 20 feet, yet kept looking for the perfect play! 🤔

Re: Maine Hockey

Maine had first goal. Ida from Ida. What are the chances of that. Northeastern is a good team and it looks like Fontaine had a real nice game. I think a nice year compared to last year for Maine.

Re: Maine Hockey

NU has more depth than Maine and eventually wore Maine down. Maine had a good season but still looking for their first semi-final win. Congratulations to NU. I didn't think the announcers were that bad.

Re: Maine Hockey

Well now that we are into the Covid-19 life changing times....when or if hockey will be played next fall/winter...anyone know who Maine is bringing in to compete with Loryln Porter in net..? I would think that they have two coming in as Porter is a Senior this season.

Re: Maine Hockey

according to College Hockey Commitments.com.....Anna LaRose (Minnesota) and Jordan Mattison (Canada) both will be freshman
