Did anyone else see that both Flynn and Nyquist had overtime goals last night? Nyquist scored in overtime against Montreal, and Flynn scored in overtime against Boston.

Flynn goal came in regulation

Ah, thanks for the correction. I saw it on the local morning news this morning and I thought they said that it was in overtime. I saw the highlight of the goal though, but I missed the game, obviously! He did a neat move to kick it to his stick and then scored. Too bad it was against the Bruins. That would be a freak thing though if two former Maine players had scored OT goals in the same night!

Can someone please fill me in on the latest in terms of Maine's video stream's quality and whether it s worth the $7.95 ?

I bought the pass and have watched a lot of the games on it. I would say it is disappointing. But it is basically the only option I have since I can't drive to Orono very often given where I live. So I would say if you compare it to other broadcasts from college hockey this one is below average. But to me I would still pay $8 just because I like the black bears hockey a lot. However, I am not happy with this product and I am hoping it is better next season.

Well I think even poor video quality is better than just radio, not that Hannigan isn't good,
cause he is.

For example, I can't access the pregame radio show right now. Last time that pregame radio show didn't work either. I don't understand how this stretch internet can't even get the pregame radio to work. That technology has been working fine for 15 years I think. Now they decide to mess it up. Makes very little sense to me. Stretch internet... sheesh, I think this is a stretch to call this any sort of adequate product.

Does stretch contract with Maine or with Learfield?

I think it's something on Umaine's end, with their feed to the Stretch media system, or however this thing works. With their collection of high end IT geniuses, they can't seem to make an online broadcast functional. last week against Northeastern, I kept getting the same dropouts and freezes with the audio-only broadcast that I've been getting for years, so I watched the video broadcast from Northeastern, also a Stretch media presentation, and other than a minor glitch each night, the video stream played pretty much perfectly. While Maine's audio feed, which I turned to for the postgame, continued to be crappy.

Video up. The accompanying audio is the radio duo of Hannigan and Mahoney.

If I sold a product and couldn't deliver it, I would feel obligated to give the money back. Maybe not all of the season pass, but at least a prorated amount. Yet, this company takes money and doesn't fully provide the product and offers no money back. Seems like a bad business. But what can you do when it is the only option.

Here is a good idea for the new AD to work through. Contract this internet broadcast with a company that can deliver. Contract with TV so that a national audience(and at the very least southern Maine) can see some games. Lower the absurd $50 ticket prices to something at least on par with the rest of college hockey. Do those things and I think people will fill the seats. The revenue would increase from attendance and concessions. National interest would pick up. Internet services revenue would increase. The entire thing might make anyone that is part of the program(including fans, alumni, players and their families, etc...) happy. I mean, we might at least find things reasonable and on par with other programs that the team competes with.

wow, mauermann has some speed. defense better think about getting the body on him before he crosses the blueline.

the obligatory unnecessary interference penalty on Rutt. just will never learn.

PC 1-0

PC scores off a bad angle shot just as penalty expires.

Had the game for a bit, but now it's silence again. Stretch tells me to clear my browser history, which is what they told me the last time, and it didn't help. Yet, I bet I could go watch Northeastern's game right now just fine.

well yeah. it's on NESN. because BU at 1-14-3 in their last 18 is a compelling game for HE to air on the last weekend of the season...

just came back as the period ended.
