My guess, Wisco hit a roster cap so now hes open for the rest for the Big 10.

I kind of assumed Penn State would be the one to grab Poirier with how much roster churn they've had and how few portal moves they've made to this point (just a defenseman added by my count). Never really considered Wisconsin to be the frontrunner.

He would be the most hated player at the alfond in recent history if he decided on BU.

Honestly it's a smart move by Poirier. He knows teams need a sniper and he's good one. Stay out until the last few days and let teams fight for you. They will make a spot for him. His agent played this one brilliant

I don’t think any coach would want to deal with him given the rumors swirling of him being a locker room cancer in Orono this past year…

I think this is a really pessimistic take. After Nadeau left, a lot of people were saying we would struggle to score, then we went out and had players that played within the system and all of the sudden everyone was a threat on any given night. Florida has not one back to back cups because of a single MVP level sniper putting up lots of goals. they have won back to back because Maurice has installed a defnsive system that plays to Floridas strengths (depth, tenacity)

The whole is larger than the sum of the parts when it comes to great hockey teams. We will be fine in the scoring department.

We will see since Maine doesn't have many goal scorers returning. Florida also has a great goaltender. Maine was 48th in that department
