It was. Kid caught an edge and went down and refs called him for it. Regardless, a pretty solid period I'd say. They did a good job at limiting chances against, especially five on five, but they need better puck control.

Yuhh, good period. Having trouble keeping it in the off zone, NU has three back deep and moves it out no problem. Red needs to make adjustments instead of trying to pound a peg into a board.
NU has some guys with really good puck skills.

The transition game is a bit lop sided. NU break out is fast. Maine always going for a regroup and it's backfiring a lot. I think Maines gotta keep this a battle on the boards to survive. Skating back and forth with NU won't end well.

Am I the only one who gets ****ed every time i see a lazy attempt at a clear out. They blow more chances on what should be a puck out of the zone, instead they give opponents another shot at swayman

I'm probably preaching to the choir, but theres a pretty obvious leadership black hole on this team. A lot of it comes from behind the bench, but I think a good deal comes on the ice too. The current captains, while mostly skilled players, I dont think are very good leaders. I would bet the team misses Hamilton, Lacroix, and Vesey in that department.

Agree with this a lot. I’d say the team bought into the hype too much as well.
