After a portion of the 1st period the play was unaccountable/unacceptable.

You would think there's a Lawyer out there that could bring a Law Suit against TW for RUINING a Hockey Program..?

All Joey could ever do was to fight for a spot in front of the net and whack in rebounds... And that was fine, when there were available rebounds to whack in. He just has no role on this team right now.

FWIW, his penalty against VT that wiped-out the goal was a legit call, IMO. My only regret there is that he got caught interfering with the goalie. :)

Four of us were at CCCC Friday night; 3 alums and another guy. Hey I get it...a win is a win is a win. We'll take it and run. And several of the Freshmen looked good and got alot of ice time. Leen skated very well too. The least hockey oriented guy in the group says unsolicited, "These guys aren't very well coached. That is the crappiest most timid power play I've ever seen." Time and again: start in back of the net, hang there for 5 or 6 seconds while Mercyhurst gets set up, then start the rush. Terrible. There appears to be NO sense of urgency at all out there on the ice a lot of the time. It was a lacklustre game, very ho-hum, both teams. There was some good action in the 3rd but clearly not the kind of Div 1 College Hockey upon which Maine built its reputation. Abbott was there. Paying attention. I believe he knows what he's got on his hands here. The Undertaker has to go. He couldn't fire up a Weber grill.

I wonder if he sits next weekend.? Seems like he should after last night. I thought that he would calm down as a Captain but he hasn't changed a bit. He isn't helping the team by sitting in the box so why not sit him.

Unbelievable. Out of sheer boredom last time I turn the game off and wake up this morning to find out that the Bears get their collective clocks cleaned by an AH team in their own barn. Just unfathomable to me. Here it is January and this team still has not won a single game on their own ice. :( If they ever do win one at home, will there be a bonfire?

Yeah, Diamond's lost out there. Someone said it, he has no role anymore and Whitehead cant figure out how to use him.
3,500 attendance? You're kidding. There must have been 10 people in the stands towards the end. We will accept your resignation now Mr. Whitehead.

The play in question vs Vermont was right in front of me and Diamond was nailed from behind by the d-man into the goalie,who in turned elbowed Diamond in the head...there should have been a penalty called on Vermont before the goal even happened...old news there...but that time Diamond was nailed for his reputation not by sound Officiating...bad call period,by like I said old news during a MESS of a season.

He also quietly speared a UVM player right in the nuts just seconds before the puck went flying into the net. Only after several replays did I notice it myself. He's fortunate he got just that interference penalty and nothing else.

If you can't come away from last nights game and wonder: What a Embarrassing display by the Team and Coaching Staff,the worst part is by mid-week the articles will role out from the BDNews that we learned a valuable lesson this past weekend and how many plus there where and we look to hit the road @ NU/Merrimack and get back into Hockey East play and show the world that this isn't a 5-12-2 Team...and the further the insult will be players on the opposing Teams saying,I can't believe this Team is 5-12-2,no way and really inside laughing at what has transpired in a 5-6 year span that has turned a winning program into the 80% plus certain win for the other Teams...and to play so pathetic on home ice,once the ace in the hole for Maine...just playing vs Maine at Alfond and the atmosphere produced by the die-hard fans....NO MORE....the writing has been on the wall for a long time,some have seen it coming and hoped that they;the powers to be would see a common sense solution is that this is a R.I.P. Program as long as TW continues to handle it...if they want to start to rebuild and to bring back some of what use to be there's no other choice but to Buyout/Fire TW after the season comes to a dreadful end...even IF "HOBBY"(Abbott)has a few more months left on his contract...he's in charge and he is suppose to do the RIGHT THING,but will he....most likely not,he has his eyes on other agendas that are in his BEST INTEREST. If you think things can't get worst...well your in a dream world,as no matter what others say,wow next years recruits are something special to go with the others...come on have you seen the "OTHERS"..???? Oh yes there are a few that have the talent,but if you have NO LEADER and NO SENSE of direction well this is what you get...if this product(Maine Hockey)had a label on it,detailing where it was made: Made in China....my meaning,just good enough to get you by and thru the cheap way....I guess thats my ENOUGH for this morning.

Last nights game left a mark on Tims back where the dagger went in. That was a killer for a guy who is fighting to keep his job. I still think its likely he coaches next year as the fiscal situation in Maine is so dire the publicity of buying a coach out, not good. Having a lame duck coach should really help recruiting

OMG, could you guys be any freaking more greedy!! This team just won THREE, I repeat THREE games in a row and now you are complaining about a loss!!!! Three wins in a row for this team is like having back to back undefeated National Championship seasons and here you are complaining. Stop comparing this team to SW's teams, a little secret folks, SW aint walking back in the door and this IS the new Maine, so enjoy these little winning streaks when you can!! ;)

But TW will continue to reward him for his selfish and undisciplined behavior and penalties with #1 PP time. He doesn't deserve quality ice time. If I were in Abbotts shoes, Timmy would have been summond to my office and given his walking papers right after last nights game.

UNO in first place in the WCHA. Amazing what a great coach can do for a program.

We've got TIMMAY. Also amazing what he can do for a program.

Appears he helped the team in Florida. Maybe he should have that role more often.
