LSSU vs. NMU first team to 2 goals wins.....

On the NMU coach's show Monday Walt mentioned LSSU and NMU were originally scheduled to play four games next year (two as non-conference). But LSSU got an offer from Notre Dame and replaced the NMU non-conference series with them. NMU will now play UAH. Not sure if it's here or there. He also mentioned the Cats will play in the GLI in two or three years.

If we are gonna play UAH, I would hope that it's down there honestly.... They need the home dates... I'd totally understand Walt not wanting to take on a roadtrip like that due to wear & tear, but they need the help.... I'd be down for heading South to Alabama for a roadie :o

*headdesk* Great, so what if UAH is admitted into the WCHA? I heard LSSU was going to UAH next year, but if they're accepted in the WCHA, UAH travels to LSSU. Is NMU having that much trouble booking non-conference dates already?!?

I hope to make the trek down Easterday for Saturday's game. I have a Christmas party on Friday.

The Huntsville series will be at NMU. i wouldn't say that it's a sign of trouble booking non conference opponents. I would say that one door closed with LSSU and another school was available to come to Marquette that weekend.

I agree it's too bad that we won't get to see the 'Cats four times next year but if you're LSSU you can't turn away from a big program like ND, not only does it test your players and beef up your strength of schedule, but should the Lakers sneak out a win against what will be presumed to be a very good ND team it would greatly help their Pairwise, should they end up in the NCAA mix late in the season. I think it behooves all nWCHA teams to have a few big name programs on their schedule to help boost the conference's legitimacy as a whole and keep the conference from becoming stuck in the same echelon as the lightly scheduled A-10 or ECAC.

Is this commentator in a sound proof room? I can barely hear any whistles, crowd noise or shots. Pretty sterile audio. Also... an extra buck for the game and the camera is pretty low light.

I complain a lot.

I take it the announcers read this as they just mentioned my comment on air. No disrespect... you are great at announcing; I just like to hear the arena too! Thanks.

I think a lot of fans have been complaining about the broadcasts.

I think I have seen all of the CCHA video streams, and the only one worse than the Lakers is the Ohio State and Michigan State video.

I believe Ohio State is student produced. If not... at least student commentated. The NMU broadcast against Tech, when the NMU students produced it, is the best I have watched. Comentating was bad though (students).

This LSSU commentator is good though. Video sucks and is eratic and wobbly.

They normally broadcast (audio) using Skype. The commentator has stated previously that the Skype broadcasts do a poor job of picking up crowd noise.

Cats are playing well... Lakers are playing better. Good goaltending on LSSU's part has stopped a few shots I expected to go in by NMU. Looks like this one is already over. NMU is in a pretty deep hole.

They said they are going back to the phone line for tomorrow nights broadcast because of the complaints.

That was a pretty inspired performance by Walt's boys tonight. Last place in the CCHA and falling fast
