The Lakers have also picked up 22-year-old defenseman Luke Antonacci from Maine.Conrad to Mankato, Hesse to Bentley, and Craft to Guelph so far via portal. And so far I am only seeing Ryan Beck added via portal.

The nonconference schedule is probably the least interesting I ever remember. At least there is the Kwik Trip tournament later on, but Stonehill, Lindenwood, and Simon Fraser to start the season is pretty underwhelming.I know we play Clarkson October 31 and St Lawrence November 1. We play in a holiday tournament shortly after Christmas. Any other non conference opponents for next year?
I think Clarkson and St Lawrence is a good nonconference road trip. The visit to Stonehill is no doubt a result of their visit to the Soo last year. Simon Fraser and the USNTDP is an exhibition series; I assume they're playing both of them down in Plymouth. I'm sure the Lakers wanted at least 1 home nonconference series and Lindenwood was probably the only school that was willing and able to come to the Soo Oct 10-11. Sure, it would have been nice to have more of a name school in town for that weekend, but many of the bigger name programs only want to do 2 for 1 trips and maybe weren't free that weekend anyway. A lot of nonconference activity is normal for October so it's not always easy to schedule opponents. The nonconference schedule is probably the least interesting I ever remember. Here's an article from 2012 showing a young Cameron wearing a Soo Greyhounds jersey when he was one of the finalists for Ultimate Greyhounds fan. Glad to have him back in the area living out a dream.LSSU got a commitment from a WHL player, 08 F Cameron Kuzma, who played for Regina last year and will play for the Seattle Thunderbirds this year. His commitment post on instagram mentions going to Lakers games as a kid. Not sure about the connection there as he’s from Alberta, but he does have an uncle Mike Nelson who played ECHL from Ontario. Maybe some sort of family connection in the area? Figured someone here might know better than I would. He seems ecstatic to live out a childhood dream.
I don't care for the cream/off-white unis either. Haven't seen the new jerseys yet.Any full pics of the new jerseys the social media team is hyping?
I don't really like the cream/off-white stuff they've been wearing so much. I don't think it goes with Laker gold all that well. I miss the giant anchor logo that basically covered the entire front of the jersey. My dream is to go back to that. Change the striping if you want to keep things interesting, but make the logo on the front of the jersey about 150% bigger. That's Laker hockey to me.
