LSSU Lakers 2017 off-season thread

Do yourself a favor and block LakerBaker, like most of us have done.

When you have no answers to why your team continues to lose season after season, the answer is to silence, ignore or ridicule anyone that dares question the reality of the situation over in the Michigan Soo with the Good Ship Laker.

Methinks that mentality is why you haven't won or been relevant in 20 years, man.

I hope the coaches put together one hell of a conditioning program for the off season .

Damon is big on conditioning like Anzalone was. I believe Bill Crawford has said the players are better conditioned than when Jim Roque was here.

Re: LSSU Lakers 2017 off-season thread

In three years under Damon Whitten it's more of the same for the Good Ship Laker, and the same excuses on here.

Methinks it will be interesting to see, once the new Athletic Director is named, what will happen when Whitten's contract after next season expires, if they continue to finish in the bottom third of the worst conference in college hockey, and more players bolt during the season or don't return. They can be a bit more objective than Kristin Dunbar who hired him or his thin skinned chums on here, man.

Keep antagonizing fans. I'm sure it'll work out for you some day.

Re: LSSU Lakers 2017 off-season thread

Schedule note that slipped out in Mel Pearson's wrapup radio show - Michigan Tech will play at Lake Superior State on October 13-14 next season.

Of course LakerBaker will probably dispute this.

Fund it bear the bottom of the league, finish near the bottom of the league. Coincidence? Methinks not.

Here is where former lake state and PC commit Cole Hults has landed

@THNRyanKennedy: USHL Madison defenseman Cole Hults commits to Penn State for 2017-18.

North Dakota is ending the women's hockey program . You could see that happening at a school with a struggling men's program but not at a power house school that North Dakota is.

They are also eliminating mens and womens swimming and diving. $1.3 million budget deficit has to be dealt with.
