LSSU Laker Hockey 2011-12

Re: LSSU Laker Hockey 2011-12

Lakers on TV twice this year:

Fri. Jan. 6 FS Plus Lake Superior at Michigan 7:35 p.m.

Fri. Jan. 20 FS Plus Lake Superior at Michigan State 7:05 p.m.

4 times if you count the Comcast broadcasts, but those do not affect us in the Soo.

Re: LSSU Laker Hockey 2011-12

Was that against Mercyhurst?

Nope, at Quinnipiac. Lakers did play Mercyhurst the next weekend though at home, sweeping them.

Nice to see Kapalka play well. Probably a good time to play Ravn tomorrow and get him experience under his belt. Kapalka will probably start all the games against MSU, Bowling Green, and Miami this month.

Re: LSSU Laker Hockey 2011-12

Nice win to start the season. The freshmen all contributed good minutes and Jean and Lain look like they are ready to take lead roles. Let's work out the rest of the kinks this weekend and be ready for MSU.

Re: LSSU Laker Hockey 2011-12

A win is a win, and a good one for the Lakers. I didn't have a chance to listen, but by the box it looks like solid defense and goaltending. Nice to see Ciotti get his first goal, and he looks like a really good freshman for us that hopefully will continue to contribute. I'd like to know some of the line combinations, if anyone was listening and feels like posting them. I should be able to listen tomarrow. I'm a bit suprised that Murdock didn't dress, and won't get a chance to play, as I had him slated as the back-up and maybe even splitting time with KK.

Nice win on the road for the Lakers to start the year.

Did anyone notice who the healthy scratches were ? I know they don't usualy take the whole team on the road.

This is what I have for the lines from last night. Not sure if the spelling is correct for all of the names:

Monardo - Ciotti - Jean
Campbell - Cassiani - Perfetto
Robinson - Lain - MacParland
Dommet - Power - Shrekli

Haines - Trotman
Brunateau - Sternberg
Czuzman - Perrault

On the pregame show Jim said that these lines will be different by the MSU weekend. For the forwards, he wanted 1 freshman on each line.

It was good to hear Bill Crawford say that they are recruiting out in western Canada. I just hope its BC.

Possible but not likely, unless someone has donated some extra money to the program. For the Lakers, western Canada generally means the SJHL or once in a while the AJHL or MJHL. On the other hand, if Laprade has some connections in the BCHL I suppose he could be out there.

Cool, thank you. Good to see the freshman getting some ice time, as there will be some kids fighting for ice time. I'll be listening this afternoon for sure!

Laprade's in Calgary.
