Let us hope Roque gets the job at Clarkson. In my opinion,he deserves that job .

Good to hear that UAH may be an addition to the future schedule, and Bemidji has always been a good rivalry although dormant for many years.

Bill...we are at UAH this year they come to Taffy next. Mel also willing to start a series with Tech in the future, as big ten teams move on.

Looks like most of the home games will be in the first half.

The second half the Lakers play Miami at home the second weekend of January. The two other home series in the second half will be against Ohio State and Western Michigan.

Schedule so far:

October 14/15 - Michigan State
October 21/22 - Bowling Green
October 28/29 - @ Miami
November 4/5 - Bemidji State
November 25/26 - Notre Dame
December 9/10 - Northern Michigan
December 30/31 - @ Vermont Tournament
January 13/14 - Miami
February 3 - USA Under 18
February 10/11 - @ Alaska
February 24/25 - @ Northern Michigan

Looks like a favorable 1st half schedule, hopefully the Lakers take advantage of that. Weird that there is a home series on Thansgiving weekend. When's the last time the Lakers played at home Thanksgiving weekend? I take it the Lakers won't go to Union this year but it's to see them playing UAH.

Four years ago they played Northern at home on Thanksgiving weekend. The last two weekends of the season on the road will be tough.

I think they will also be at home on the 7th or 8th of October for an exhibition game against a Canadian team.

Frank Anzalone was offered, but declined the job at Clarkson. Wasn't the right fit for Frank and there are bigger and better things ahead for the coaching legend.

According to the CHN "Clarkson has narrowed its coaching decision down to two, current U.S. Under-18 team coach Ron Rolston, and current Cornell assistant Casey Jones, according to a report in the Watertown Daily Times.

Clarkson is the last of eight schools that need to fill a head coaching vacancy this offseason, after it waited until May before firing George Roll.

The report says that Rolston and Jones were the only two given on-campus interviews, though others were given phone interviews."

I see our favorite coach is not in the mix and neither is Frank. That's right Frank had better things to do than coach hockey. ;-)

I would be shocked if Anzalone was given a courtesy email stating they received his application but there will be no guarantee of any type future contact, let alone offered the position!!!

Don't misunderstand me Truth, I like Frank and feel that he was wrongfully terminated not once but twice by LSSU, however, I also feel that the college game has now passed him bye. I believe that he is no longer considered a viable candidate by any school.

The pro ranks are another matter and he may yet find success there.

Umm..one national championship. Jackson was behind the bench on the other two. Frank may have helped put the Laker name out there but do not take away those championships from Jackson. Those are HIS titles, not Frank's.

After the big 6 teams start their league i wonder how the officiating is going to shake out. There is not very many qualified refs in the ccha now if any.

I don't see officiating changing at all. There are still going to be the same number of teams and games.
