I will make this brief.
Wish I could have swung this trip... I want to get over to these schools at some point either for hockey or academically (seminar talk).
Just sent a (accepted) paper back to JASA with a Michigoon co-author.
My mother also has a college friend whose son played football four years at Michigan State.
So, very loose connections. I could use a trip right about now but so it goes.
It's only an 8 maybe 9 hour drive from DC. I have an extra ticket for the Lowell @ Michigan game which you could have for free.
I'd need a PK.I'd need a car.![]()
It's been a frustrating (to put it mildly) start for the Hawks. The hope is a road trip will help bring them together. We'll see.
Normally I'd be posting a lot more, but I'm slightly distracted.![]()
BU is tought to figure out. Fairly young team, especially in net. Blows out an experienced Badgers team, but loses at home to RPI. I'm sure they'll be ready to play at Yost.
I was there ... fun trip, but for the games. The last time UML came into Yost in 1999 they got blown out both nights (8-1, 5-1) during the Comrie/Cammellari/Kosick/Jillson era.I imagine that this edition will be much tougher.
Lowell has no power play so far, so that shouldn't be problem for you.The Spartans are a bit shorthanded, and were shorthanded (in a different sense) last Saturday, giving up 4 power play goals while trying to kill off 6 consecutive penalties. On the other hand, it was nice to see some physical play from our new d-men. So if MSU can somehow stay out of the penalty box (or their PK gets way better in a way-hurry), and the (likely) 6 dressed freshmen can continue to contribute and grow, the Green&White have a chance at knocking off one of these two Massachusetts teams. We may have the best netminder in B1G and that's good for some wins this season.
Lots of open seats still available at Munn tonight. Hopefully the MSUFCU ticket deal brings some people in.
As for the actual games: After last weekend I'm just hoping we keep the goal differential around -6 for the weekend.
Sandbag alert.
