Light weight Cell Phones

All,
We are in the market to change phones- have some old Samsung A420 phones and Sprint service. But weight is key.

The current phone is 2.9 oz according to tech sheets available on line.

Since we run, I'd like the phone to be lighter- so that it doesn't bounce around too much.

Any suggestions and experiences?

Uh, are there heavy cell phones anymore? Can people honestly tell the difference between 2.9oz and 2.5oz?

Yes, especially if it's thick. I've got a small pocket on the back of my running shorts, and after a few miles, the small mass does get kind of annoying. Let alone for 26.2 miles.

The reason we want to carry one is that issues have happened during a run, and it's kind of nice to know what is going on.

I've found a few 2.5 oz phones that are slimmer, so they might move around a lot less.
