Just when you thought it was safe to watch Discovery Channel again...

Re: Just when you thought it was safe to watch Discovery Channel again...

I officially can't stand watching Shark Week anymore. I love the shows, but all the tweets popping up on the bottom of the screen are beyond annoying. Not only do they distract you from the show, they are some of the stupidest comments imaginable.

Yeah I agree Minnfan, I was watching the Mythbusters Shark Week special last night(which was pretty cool) and the tweets were getting in the way and very annoying.

Funny I dont remember any tweets. (I watched the replay so maybe they didnt have them on) I thought the facts they had on the bottom of the screen during Air Jaws Apocalypse were pretty cool.

Yeah maybe they removed them from the replay.

Air Jaws Apocalypse, what a great name and cool show.

The Jaws documentary was pretty solid. I avoid anything that dwells on shark attacks too much... kind of defeats the purpose of shark documentaries.

Yeah I watched none of the shows yesterday because they were all shark survivor stuff. Years ago I liked those (especially when they talked about Rodney Fox) but now they are just repetitive. I dont mind when they include it briefly (like the guy in the Jaws special who lost a leg but still swims competitively) but anything more than a few minutes and it just doesnt work.

I love watching Sharkzilla eat the keg :D
