January 8 - The Saints Convene, Cortland is a favorite and more

With 4:19 left in the second St. Norbert 0 - Saint John's 0

Cripes! The MASCAC is horrible this year.

This year?
Worse than ever. They were at least competitive against their OOC opponents - especially PSU and SSU in past years. Now - cannon fodder.

End of regulation and still no score - St. Norbert 0 - Saint John's 0

Final - St. Norbert 0 - Saint John's 0

Re: January 8 - The Saints Convene, Cortland is a favorite and more

All of these 0-0 ties are giving me horrible flashbacks to the dead-puck era.

So it looks like St Norbert is human after all??

For sure. Not sure anyone even close to the program ever implied otherwise. It has been said numerous times: this is a different team than last year.

Just to be clear though, SNC lost a one goal game in which they had two goals missed by officials and skated to a 0-0 tie after putting 45 shots on a goaltender whose brother won national championships with SNC just a couple years ago (so I'd imagine maybe he was pretty pumped up for last nights game.) I hope SNC isn't panicing just yet...

I did think Jake looked excellent between the pipes last night for SNC, especially in the 3rd period, and that was great to see. Probably his best game of the season. That being said, if Soley wanted to transfer to SNC next season after Jake graduates I wouldn't complain.

I watched the game too, looks like St Cloud provides for some nice camera angles. It was a VERY great game, Jacobson has a puck magnet in his glove and Soley was up to the task - some great saves on some great opportunistic shots by St Norbert (wish the announcer realized it is NOT St Norberts).
