The ice seemed choppy. I heard that sheet was put in on Wednesday. Both teams looked a little wonky at times and the puck rarely settled down.

Whew. What was THAT?

We flat-out did not show up last night. Gets my vote as the worst game of the Blais era. Coach Blais had to be irate after that performance. There was never really a moment in the game where you thought UNO looked like they were a threat in the game. On the power play, we looked absolutely ridiculous, something the NBC announcers were only too quick to point out. Not a good showcase for UNO hockey since we embarrassed ourselves on national television. Worse, this was on home ice and it's not like we don't have anything to play for. This reminded me of some games from the first season of the program. We'll find out tonight what this team has left in the tank because I personally think the Minnesota series last weekend really deflated this team's psyche since we played well against them and got nothing to show for it and it really ramped up the pressure on this series. Plus, there is no upperclassmen leadership on this team to show the way. Two possibilities exist for tonight, I think. We either show up with an inspired performance (since we must win, now, for home ice) or we get blown out of the building again. I don't see much in-between.
