Iran So Far Away: 2026

sure, my comment was more on how large the trucks have gotten, but yes, all other cars are bigger too. But I hardly know anyone with a huge shit american car. its japanese or european. like, i know people who want to buy a truck, who don't, because no one makes normal sized trucks anymore.
Whats a normal sized truck? Smaller pickups like a tacoma have gotten bigger but normal sized ones like an f150 arent any bigger. They have double cabs and crew cabs but unless you special order one they have 5 ft beds instead of 8 ft beds like a real work truck.

im talking about the ones now that are so big, they can't see a normal sized woman becuase the grill goes so high.

normal trucks, to me, are the ones I used to see as a kid (and still see in europe)

4 wheel drives with after market lift kits in them for sure look bigger. Thats mostly dopes who use the truck to go get groceries.

Can also most commonly be spotted congregating in the following locations:

-Home Depot and Menards parking lots
-Fraternal org lodges
-The neighborhood dive bar

I really miss my Mazda3 hatchback from a few years ago. Sold it in carvana when I noted they’d pay me more than I did, and the proceeds could buy a beater and pay off some student loans. I miss my truck from college more, though. Would I ever get one again? Doubtful. But I mean come on look at the simplicity. 😂

My dad still drives his 1986 F-150, straight stick five speed. How I wish I still had a vehicle that was a five speed manual (learned to drive on a 1981 Suburu manual, first car of my own was 1996 Dodge Neon manual), but had to give it up as my wife doesn't know how to drive a manual (and didn't really want to learn).

I learned to drive manual on an 80’s F-250. Any stick after that was pretty easy. 😆

Exception was my father’s ‘05 or so Mustang GT. God what a pile. Clutch was kinked to hell and it wasn’t fun enough to make it worth it.

Get a motorcycle, they are all primarily manual transmissions (though automatics are slowly getting more prevalent, sadly).

80 thousand barrels is nothing compared to old worn out Solar panels we can't recycle. At least thats what the Magats tell me.
haha I remember that asshat sic talking about recycling solar panels. one of the most tired, ridiculous tropes around, which really signals how fucking dumb they all are. just ignoring the huge piles of shit from oil that can't be recycled, while railing against everything that doesnt hurt the environment, cause, you know, North Dakota just means no fucking brain cells.

doug burgum needs another choc chip cookie tho

I always ask what do you recycle at home? In Maine unless you live in a city the answer is nothing as most small towns have no recycling program. Some of the cities just chuck recycling in with their regular waste stream as their is no market for it.

Sales of which have improved considerably in the last couple of years, but the F-150 still disproportionately out-sells both the Maverick and the mid-size Ranger.
I have been told by Car People that the F-150 is actually a good vehicle if you have a business that requires you tooling around with a ton of equipment (landscaping, plumbing, construction). For carrying around your recreational stuff they are more meh. They say it's a work vehicle but when you use it to buy groceries it's a waste.

I have no idea. Never drove a truck; can't even drive stick, which my cowgirl wife thinks is adorable and borderline twink.

I've seen Ford farm trucks from the 30s and 40s and think they're beautiful.

That’s pretty much every truck, except Rams of course.

I kinda kid, all of them are much more reliable than their worst time periods in the past. When I worked for the country parks department between years of school we had a fleet of late 90s Ram 1500s. Transmissions were terrible, meaning they’d be in the shop a lot and we’d be in the backup trucks, which were mainly Chevy Cheyenne 2500s from the 80s that didn’t even have FM.
