It has nothing to do with solving the problem. The question was will it poll well, and I'm guessing the answer is yes.

Well, I'm glad you finally concede that the illegal issue will poll well across the country. It's unusual for you to concede, even when you're clearly in error.

Tucson has got to go to get rid of the U of A. To me that's the biggest value in the whole deal.

I'm good with McCain being thrown in with the deal. Maybe the feds can ship Napolitano back out here and we can throw her in the deal so they get a 2-fer?

A better poll yet would be to see what degree do folks feel that their US tax dollars should pay for 2070...an Arizona state laws. Probably net about 10% agreement.

uh... My tax money already goes to the feds to do that job. And they're doing a hell of a good job... No, no they're not. That was a lie.

How many unemployed persons would like to be working? Especially in the construction industry?

Do you cry as much for Americans as you do your pet migrant maids?

edit: I see nothing wrong with the government facilitating the enforcement of their own laws. I wish Barack Obama would also enforce the laws of the United States... but I have no expectation that he will.

First, the GOP just voted down resources for border security.

Second, I don't want a swarm of individual states dictating back to US taxpayers what they should pay...and for what services. Sorry, but we get enough pork barrel spending when states remain fiscally responsible for their own laws.

I'm guessing that the bill in question had some extra crap tacked on or was itself tacked onto another bill.

I don't either but guess what the stimulus bill was.

Not taking a stand on the stimulus here...but that was the federal government. You add on 50 state governments that suddenly gain the ability to enact their own laws and push the costs back on the federal government and US taxpayers? In this scenario, all this talk about US bankrupcy will become reality. No, Arizona must foot the bill for its own laws.

This is the U of A we're talking about here. Yah, the Sonic Burgers and the Starbucks will struggle a little for workers, but you have to keep your eye on the greater good here.
