The puck definitely went through the top of the net. It's unfortunate because Travis drove the offense all night and he deserved that goal. The key in those situations is to watch the goalie. As a former goalie you know it went by and into the net. Rogers reacted like he was beat. With all of that being said, Travis, Zizek, Gillespie and Vance played hard all night and Richer was strong in goal. The rest lacked energy and chemistry. It was really a painful effort to watch and it has become the rule rather than the exception with this version of the Lakers.

Watching on line last night, too difficult to call despite the excellent WTOP coverage. The 3 win visitors might have been the 7 win hosts of the tourney---skated right with Oswego and forechecked them well enough to frustrate. The difference--we had better scoring chances and lanes and totally wiffed. Seen this before, need to correct, and someone, or line needs to step up-lead this team and score a bunch.. Go Lakers.

The lone unranked Western team comes in with the upset in beating 2 ranked Eastern teams in a Eastern Tourney. Impressive effort by the Cardinals.

Very few QUALITY scoring chances,puck control is nice but that's about it,has NOT led to many QUALITY chances..

Oswego St officially has 2 WOMEN'S hockey teams. There was only 1 open ice check the whole night. I guess Ed has started teaching a new passive look at your opponent style of hockey. Utica's big Sweed all he did was skate with his head down. In the 80's he would have lasted 1 shift that would be it. We have no defense. Not sure if #5 was watching, but you would have been screaming at the lack of D all game. Hope you were at your daughters sporting event somewhere. The 4 goals given up were totally on the defense. All they did was watch the Utica players skate in and shoot on goal. There was no passion tonight or any games really since Genny put the beat down on us. This is like 4 years ago with the last Senior heavy team. Lots of talent but nothing to show for it which is very sad. See what happens tomorrow I am expecting the same. Maybe if we are lucky we can get a tie.

You were correct in stating our defense let us down last night. We came out flat and the UC first line took advantage immediately. Their forwards are very good and fast. Where you call the team a women’s team I totally disagree with you. If you were at the game the Lakers woke up late in the second and from then on dominated. Bunks scores his first goal late in the second and the Lakers were energized. We dominated UC in the third and remember we were down 3 to 1 going into the third. We tie the game and at 1:47 left in the third we turn the puck over only to see UC score fore the winning goal. The Lakers finally played with guts in the third and our hats are off to them for coming back

Defensive errors...agree about the lack of spark at the beginning...but they pulled it together and had the Moose on their heels mig 2nd and most of 3rd period. I thought Hare played very well...Richer not so much. Being in the rink during break, you come to appreciate the atmosphere the student section brings to the game...when they’re not here the Wheelhaus is flat. Looking forward to Elmira tonight.

Let’s face it - if this team wants to play in March,,,a VERY big if...they must win SUNYAC. AQ is only way in.....

The reason why there are 2 women's teams is due lack of physical play. Since the Genny beat down there has been a serious lack of physical play. At the beginning of the season the guys were checking and hitting causing turn overs which can lead to scoring chances. That part of the game is totally absent. There was no physical play last night or the St. Mary's game. Yes I was there last night and will be there tonight.

Just not the same....first off Utica was roadrunner speed from the get go,they were moving and we were watching,both our dmen and backcheckers.Yes D looked bad on many of their goals,gotta be more aggressive all around,Pk and PP...Not sure but that may have been our first come back this season but only to squander it,ugh...The jury is still out with me on a senior heavy team,not sure either way but its what we have....LEL,Hare may have been watching but doubt he was playing,Hansen did well though.We do seem to be missing a spark,I loved the play of Nenandal last yr we need a few more of guys like that.We are also giving up waaay to many oddman rushes/chances.Yes maybe its the student section that gives us a boost but the players should be up for these games.Elmira sees blood in the water and they have a top line similar to gennys top line so watch out,time for a W men..Yes only way to the big dance is winning the YAC.....Many thanks to WTOP and WNYO, kids take their own time to come back to campus early and do a GREAT job,doesn't go unnoticed.....Congrats to Bunka on first college goal,a nice one......Any news on Fletcher,he does and some spark???

Hare...Hanson...at least I got the H right. I will say the 2nd and 3rd periods for the most part were the best periods I’ve seen the past 5-6 games we’ve played...but I’m an amateur compared to you

10-4,we looked better in the 2nd and very good in the 3rd,with a few hickups,if we play a full game like we did in the third we would be onto something...
