Sioux on the powerplay by the way.

And that's the end of 2.

5-2 Boston College

Sioux playing better than I thought. Dell was garbage, allowing 5 goals on 15 shots.

Sioux need to stage an uprising ,oops I mean comeback in the 3rd.;)

Wow. Heck of a period for BC. Gaudreau looks really, really impressive.

Not a good outing for Dell. Yikes. :o

Looks like UNH is handing over their Kings of October title to BU tonight. Going to have a lot of happy hoppy jumping BU fanboys this week.

I just wonder if Scott Weighart is going to write a book about it!

Yeah, he didn't play well, and our defense didn't play that great out in front of him. When that happens, goals get scored. Hopefully the Sioux can shore up in the third, maybe score a goal early and get back in it. This is basically what I expected out of this weekend thus far. Sioux will struggle to score early in the season. Our d should shore up over the next few weeks, and I anticipate more 2-1, 3-2 type games in that time span. If not, it will be a long first month or two of the season. I do expect the Sioux to get things rolling after the new year...like always.

:p:D:D

I do think that BU is the real deal this year. Although I'm not sure if it will be book-worthy.

Let's be fair to Dell. Not sure he had a chance to save many of the BC goals.

First goal was a backhander from a wide open player down low through traffic with 3 guys screening him placed right inside the post.

Second goal was an unmarked man (Kreider) on a bizarro puck and he never really saw it or had a chance. Off the post and in by the way.

Third goal was a pass straight across to Gaudreau - zero chance at stopping.

Fourth goal was pass from behind the net to unmarked Mullane - zero chance of stopping.

Fifth goal... off his own player in front? maybe a softy?

Really, the defensive coverage has been abysmal by the ND defense.

First goal was a softy...he saw the puck and just didn't react in time. Poor defensive play as well though.

I completely agree with goals 2-4...terrible defense on the third and fourth goals.

Fifth goal was junk.

3rd period underway...Sioux still on a man advantage...about a minute left on it...

5-2 BC

Another penalty on BC

about 30 seconds of 5x3 for North Dakota. You have to think if they want any chance of getting back in this that this is a must score for the Sioux...

Kristo off the post...

BC PK is fantastic so far this year.

Re: Icebreaker Championship - Boston College vs. North Dakota - 7:37 PM ET - 10/8

Would it kill them to put up a penalty clock on the TV coverage when there's a power play?

Re: Icebreaker Championship - Boston College vs. North Dakota - 7:37 PM ET - 10/8

Does Kristo spend this much time on the ice every game?
