Re: I can't believe there's no MSU - Miami thread
MiaU vs Top 20 - 4-3-1
MiaU vs UR tms - 20-7-4 - fully 31 gms vs unranked tms & they didn't win 11 of those gms. That's 1/3rd.
SCSU vs Top 20 - 13-8-1
SCSU vs UR tms - 10-6-0 - SCSUs definitely been most embarrassing WCHA rep outside of WCHA. But still!!!
Mn St vs Top 20 - 11-12-0
Mn St vs UR tms - 13-0-3 - MnSU played almost 3X as many ranked tms as MU did. And didn't lose to ANY UR tms
UND vs Top 20 - 11-9-4
UND vs UR tms - 10-2-3 - So UND also played THREE times as many ranked teams as MU did.
Denv vs Top 20 - 13-12-4
Denv vs UR tms - 7-1-1 - DU played 29 games vs ranked teams. That is close to 4X as many as MU.
UMn vs Top 20 - 11-6-3
UMn vs UR tms - 15-1-2 - UMn beat everyone they were supposed to.
Miami has ALMOST TWICE as many LOSSES to UNRANKED teams as Minnesota, Mn St-Mankato, Denver and North Dakota COMBINED!!!!!!
COMBINED!!!!!!!
Yes, I said
COMBINED!!!!!!!
# if wins over Top 25 rated teams
13 - DU - WCHA team
13 - SCSU - WCHA team
11 - UMn - WCHA team
11 - MnSt - WCHA team
11 - UND - WCHA team
4 - Miami - CCHA's #1 top team.
So the WCHA's Top 5 teams ALL have WAY tougher scedules, WAY more wins vs Top Rated teams and WAY fewer losses to UNRANKED teams.
So who is more worthy of that #3 spot in the rankings?! Mn St? SCSU? Denver? or UND? maybe?!
Is it any wonder that the Massey Ratings have UMn, Mn St, UND, SCSU AND Wisconsin even, ahead of MU in his ratings.
And I don't know where you are coming from dissing Quinipiac, they are something like 14-2 vs Top 20 rated teams. They may be a little overrated at #1 or maybe at #2? But both of those are big maybes. I think that their chances of making it to the Frozen Four are very good.
