I think you are giving Miami WAY too much credit. They have to be the worst #3 rated team ever in the history of college hockey.


Ok, maybe that's a little bit of an exaggeration. But not much.

Just go look at their schedule and who they've beat and lost to this season. It's not that impressive. The CCHA just happens to be the weakest I've ever seen it, and its normally not that strong, so.


It wouldn't shock me if not one CCHA team made it to the Elite 8, and if one does, then I WOULD be surprised if that team made it to the Frozen Four.

MUhawks628 -- Why thank you, it is so nice of you to say such a thing. And I will accept your apology, for that ranking has caused me hours and days and weeks of anquish and I just can't sleep at night, or eat or anything I'm just so distraught over it.

Whatever Tipsy. I guess we'll have to wait and see if my prediction shows to be accurate or not.


What I see when I look at Miami is a team that couldn't sweep Michigan, couldn't sweep Ferris St, only got 4 points in 4 games vs NMU, only got splits in at least one of their weekends vs OSU and LSSU, couldn't get a sweep of MSU or Providence, either, and lost to Robert Morris.

NONE of those teams are ranked among the Top 20 in the country. But sweeps of unranked Bowling Green, unranked Colgate, and 4 wins over unranked Alaska puff up their record and makes it look decent.


They only played ONE top 10 team the entire season, 9th ranked WMU, and only got a split vs them. Splits vs #12 ND and #14 Wiscsonsin don't seem all that impressive to me?! Not for the #3 ranked team in the nation, at least.


1-1 vs teams ranked 1-10
2-3 vs teams ranked 11-25


19-5-5 vs unranked teams


#3 ? Come on.

They had a tougher schedule than the Gophers. You guys lost to MTU and came dangerously close to losing at home vs. UAA. Every team has a bad game here and there. Saying they are the worst #3 ever is just trolling.
