How's your English? *lib Cafe

owslachief

occupe toi de tes oignons
I had another title but who knows what lawyers are lurking here for something-mark/something-right infringement. Anyway I was putting this thing together in my house and I thought gee someone can help me with the instructions by filling in the missing parts-of-speech.

So Poster 'A' has a couple paragraphs in mind and posts
[plural noun] [adjective] [part of the body] [number].
[noun] [verb] [adjective]

and Poster 'B' replies with
[plural noun] crazy [part of the body] 44.4.
[noun] [verb] [adjective]

and Poster 'C' replies with
Egg rolls crazy [part of the body] 44.4.
[noun] giggle [adjective]

etc. until all of them are done, then Poster 'A' comes back with the completed story.

Sorta like that game which I won't name but your kids take with them on long trips if they put their [electronic babysitter of choice] away for awhile.

I realized that there've got to be some "rules" of some kind and one thing is it will take a long time if you can answer only one at a time - so keep it to 1-to-3 filled in per reply. Curious to see if it sticks!

[adjective] [verb with -ing] [noun] [adverb] [noun].

[adjective] [noun] [adjective] [plural noun] [verb] [adverb].

Re: How's your English? *lib Cafe

I saw "lib" and immediately thought this was another political fight thread.

Re: How's your English? *lib Cafe

Let's make this like the usual MadLibs:

Installation instructions, Introduction and Part 1
[verb] [noun] [adjective] [plural noun] [building material] poop [noun] flossing [adjective] [adjective] [noun] [adjective] [plural noun] [number].

[adjective] [verb with -ing] [noun] [adverb] [noun].

[adjective] [noun] [adjective] [plural noun] [verb] indubitably.

Re: How's your English? *lib Cafe

It's not even very good Mad Libs. With Mad Libs, you have a short story with a couple missing words here and there that you fill in based upon parts of speech before reading the story.

Or, it's a really awful game show that has nothing to do with the activity.

Equal opportunity jokes.

I thought Mad Libs was the new Conservative iPad app like Angry Birds.

It's called Mad Libs because Angry Conservatives couldn't fit on the front of the notebook.

There. :D

It's the fill in the blank game you've played all your life, but never quite like this?

Hang a millstone around this and let it sink quietly, mercifully :)
. . . . . .
Did you read the part that says
etc. until all of them are done, then Poster 'A' comes back with the completed story.

If you wanted to turn this into a game we'd actually try to play, you'd need to ask for the words first, and then have them inserted into framework of the story. Much more easily done in excel, for example, than here, unless someone knows how to "program" that.

Short version:

Give me a noun, adjective, and verb.

Then see white text below and slot in the three words as applicable.

This [adjective] idea is about as effective as a [noun] trying to [verb].

Good luck but I can't see how you'd make it work in this format.

OK... can, weird, and jump.

And now, to fill in the white text...

This weird idea is about as effective as a can trying to jump.
