Re: How was your experience in Boston?
We had a great time.
Good thing the worst weather day was the same day we had two hockey games. It got better after that.
Thursday when we arrived- we had dinner at Fours- which did a great job getting us in the sports mood. Food was ok, beer was good, atmosphere was great.
games were detailed on other thread.
Friday we did the trolley tour- which was, indeed, quite touristy. And for tourists- we had a great time. All of the history makes me want to look into the Revolutionary War timeframe. Actually- extending that to the War of 1812- as we got to tour the very empty Constitution, which is being prepared for dry dock. Lunch at Cheers (thanks Dad!!!). And got off to really look at the cemetaries. Dinner was at Leagal Seafood Harborside- which was chosen as my SIL is a chef there. Ran into Mel Pearson as he was leaving...

Dinner was really great, and was a celebration for my mom's recent recovery (my parents have joined us for the FF since Columbus). So very much fun.
Saturday- we ran up the Charles River up to Harvard. What a great place to run. Then we did a Duck tour. Dinner was in some Italian palce in the North End- lots of food. I'm still full from that.
game has it's own thread.
Sunday- another run up the Charles River to BU. Then a big family brunch at Atlas at Quincy Market.
We expected and planned for big bills, so were not too stunned.
Can't wait to go back, but it does help that we have family in the area.
