How Many DQ's Have You Seen in a College Game?

Re: How Many DQ's Have You Seen in a College Game?

Give 'em all a double-minor (or, in the case of Nathan Isabelle and Nick Warriner, a triple-minor) for multiple counts of roughing, and a 10-minute misconduct, which puts 'em out for the rest of the game.... wouldn't it have been easier (and a little harsher) to give them majros for fighting (since I'm assuming that fghting occured)?

Maybe, but when a situation like that happens it's very confusing and I don't think it was a real drop down the gloves type of fight(s)...In that situation, I think they refs did a pretty decent job...It was by the benches so that just added to the confusion...

Despite 8 DQ for Manhattanville, they still manged to take 10 Penalties their next game as the successfully beat Utica.

Neumann after their 7 DQ's lost their next game to Hobart 3-2, but it was nevertheless, a significant improvement over their earlier 1-7 loss.
Wow, my first instinct when you posted those results was to compare stat sheets and find out whether some of the DQs had been appealed down to misconducts, but sure enough, none of the names from the brawl match the lineups from the following games. Nice depth, I guess

Elmira v UWS

Elmira v UWS

It was a two game home/home series that spanned two years. The brawl occurred outside the playing area when both teams were headed for the locker rooms, and everything bottle-necked and all hell broke loose. If the players could have reached each other, quite easily the entire teams would have been DQ'd. UWS subsequently changed the dressing room entrance configs, as did Elmira.

The return trip to NY the following season was not nearly as eventful. There is a video somewhere of the 'event'. The police were also called to the rink per THIS report.

I believe one or more of the involved players also received a lengthy suspension as a result of the fracas

Re: How Many DQ's Have You Seen in a College Game?

It was only three games if I recall correctly, I thought it ahouldve been 6.

1 for the first dq, 2 for the second and three for the 3rd.

1+2+3=6

edit: maybe it was 6, he sat out the next six games following that one according to collegehockeystats

Yeah, the January 17th game at UWSP was his first game back. We gave him some Dairy Queen cups to use on the bench as a welcome back gift.
