It would be fun to have an interlocking schedule again. Would love to see the west teams come east and vice versa.
UNH has been lucky in recent years to get UND, Minni, CC, etc to come east. With UNH playing at Wisco this past year they must be on the radar to come to Durham in the near future.

Just an interest idea to ponder...
Take the top 10 teams in each conference. Each team leaves an "open" weekend (would have to be the same weekend for everybody) on the Oct schedule to be figured out in the previous March.
Based on the previous years regular season ending standings
1 HE plays 1 WCHA
2 HE plays 2 WCHA
.
.
.
10 HE plays 10 WCHA
so they don't feel left
11 WCHA can play 12 WCHA (you west guys seem to need to include everybody
)
The trick is figuring out who is home who is away. Using the standings somebody could get 2 (or more) years in a row on the road.

DU over UNH
BC over UW
St CLOUD over BU
Maine over UMD Edit
UND over Lowell
Mass over Bem
CC over Mack
Minny over Vermont
Northeastern over UNO
Kato over Providence
UAA over Tech

I watched a lot of Minnesota and don't think they're as good as Vermont, who was easily the 3rd or 4th best team in HEA - their record was misleading. You also left Maine-Duluth off your list, which I see as a Maine win, although to be fair I didn't see much of Duluth.

It would be great -- but it didn't work (too expensive, dwindling attendance) in the '80s and likely wouldn't today either.
