Big upset of the week being a Merrimack sweep. I really don't think York sees this team coming. He's a fantastic coach, but it's easy to underestimate a team that has been in the basement for years. Merrimack has scored more goals than any Hockey Easy team...look for them to show why this weekend.

Why would you think that one of the best coaches on the planet isn't paying attention to what the other teams in his own league are doing? Not to say the Mack isn't capable of an upset, they're playing very well from what I hear, but it won't be because Jerry isn't doing all he can to prepare for them.

They have played more games than any Hockey East team (save Maine... but can they really be called a Hockey East team anymore? I kid, I kid).

You make a good point about York. He will most likely make sure the team is ready to the best of their abilities. However as an avid BC fan all through high school, (I have a signed Boyle Jersey in my closet haha), I was constantly amazed at how well BC plays down to their opponents.

I have heard of problems of the team going out and partying before games against "mediocre" opponents. Now I'm not saying that this will be the case before their opening home game, however I believe I bring up a good point. If this young BC team does not take Merrimack seriously they're going to be pretty shocked at the scoreboard come 60 minutes of hockey.

Pretty tough to underestimate an opponent that smacked around a team that beat BC 4-1.
As for the partying... what season are you talking about? This team has played 2 games this season and I wouldn't consider either opponent mediocre.
