It's mostly because all of their posters with the exception of maybe 2 (UMLFan being one) are doochebags. That and they used to get all high and mighty every 4 years when they have 26 seniors on their roster and brag and gloat like they're some super powerhouse and tout their moral victories... like beating UVM in a QF series in 2009 when UVM went to the FF and UML stayed in Lowell and smoked crack.

Now, UMLGoon has been MIA since the last cycle of absurd senior class overload fell through and for the most part the team / expectations/ and being arses in general has come down to a realistic level but the animosity remains.
They still have Patronick but hes just a poser. He's annoying but he tries to hard, not like UMLGoon who was just a dikc naturally.

the UML/UVM thing is fun. I need to be more of a jerk on these threads. No one has the same enmity towards PC. Even jcarter is just casually speculating that Gillies might have a bad year...

I can't think of too much. We're not so much over confident as we are strangely at ease...

Your first comment mskes no sense.

Your second comment seems to confuse NU and PC.

Your posts lead me to believe that you don't really follow the sport closely, and that you are actually a paid agitator for a school with a serious self-image problem. Please find a real job that will give you a greater sense of accomplishment!

He said 3 hockey east schools made the rankings.... there was a thread title that went something along the lines of petitioning the EZAC for membership. Try and keep up or keep your ignorance to yourself. I'm not going to walk your through every post because your don't have the mental capacity of an 8 year old.

What if Gilles doesn't go pro... then the "key" recruit isn't key at all but rather entirely and utterly useless...

Seriously it's a pretty poor ranking if its based on hypothetical departures don't you think? I mean there really isn't a single other team in all of D-1 hockey that has a better recruiting class then PC whose ranking appears to be based on the idea that they got themselves a good back up goalie...

Take a look at the best goalies to come out of Hockey East and how many are actually playing in the NHL. Schnieder and Howard have been toiling around for a decade to get a shot... Bishop may have finally earned a shot but that's taken years in the minors to get...And Calgary has Kiprusoff who still has a few years in him. Gilles would be stupid to leave early, he isn't going anywhere. NHL needs 60 goaltenders and there isn't enough turnover for a goalie to leave college early.

No? The ranking is based on who looks best prepared for the coming four years from their classes, not 'how many of these kids will jcarter7669 look up on hockeydb and decide are good'. If you don't agree with them, that's fine, but don't put words in my mouth. Not only is the ranking not based on a 'back up goalie' (which he isn't, and that's the point I'm making there), but out of all the ones to nitpick on, that's the only key recruit where I actually gave an honorable mention to a second guy hahahaha

Of course the ranking is based on the back up goalie and your assumption Gilles leaves, which he won't. Otherwise its a totally ridiculous ranking. PC's biggest fault is the lack of offense. The D isn't too bad and their goaltending is stellar and set for the next 3 seasons. So tell me how you can justify a top 10 ranking based on two undrafted forward recruits... The recruiting class sucks because it doesn't address team need. PC's class isn't 9th in HE let along D-1 hockey.

Whatever, that maybe your opinion of this seasons recruiting classes but my opinion is that your opinion sucks.
